NiceWon presents: Family Album

Covers & Blankets, a musical open-mic Blanket drive benefiting the Janus Youth Program of Portland.
In this, our sixth year of putting on the event, we are very proud of the commitment and participation
of the musical community here in Portland to the needs of troubled and at risk youth.

the IDEA... to get together and sing a bunch of Cover tunes and collect Blankets and warm winter
wear for kids living on the streets.


The event will be held @ the Bossa Nova Ballroom on January 30th 2009
The doors will be open at 7 pm. with a sign up sheet for anyone who wants to sing a song or two.
You can sing any song you like but we do ask that it be a COVER song.
In other words... a song that has already been recorded. Popular, obscure, classic or absurd.
Make it Funky, make it Funny, Mash it up... make it your own, make it happen!
so bring your guitar or other musical instrument and Share what you got!
The Music will begin at 8 pm. and continue until we all collapse from JOY.

This is a family friendly event... ie.. kids are welcome until 10 pm
at which time a more "adult" theme may be in place (some naughty words might be spoken or sung)

the Cover charge will be $5 with a donation for the Janus Youth Program of Portland
or $10 without donation. Kids under 12 are FREE

We will be happy to accept donations of:

New or gently used Blankets
Warm socks
jackets,
Hats, gloves and scarves
and personal Toiletries.
